Cynthia is the Managing Partner of Tang Thomas LLC and head of its Corporate and Commercial, and Private Client practice groups.

 

A seasoned corporate lawyer with wide ranging experience in corporate & commercial transactions, she regularly acts for many MNC clients in cross border M&A transactions.

 

Her clients rely on her commercially astute legal advice on corporate and commercial law, and she has particular expertise in the healthcare and life sciences industry. She is also experienced advising on HNWs on private client and family trust matters and has also acted for major religious institutions in Singapore on the set up of their charitable trusts.  She is also experienced advising listed clients in the construction, property management and built environment sectors. 

 

Prior to heading up Tang Thomas LLC, Cynthia was a key M&A lawyer at a leading regional law firm. She also honed her practice as head of corporate and commercial law practice group at a well-esteemed heritage law firm. She is highly experienced in IP matters in life sciences sector having co-headed the regional legal function in a multinational pharmaceutical conglomerate. 

 

Cynthia also brings along her experience in public policy, having served in the Singapore Foreign Service and the Economic Development Board as its Centre Director for Israel. 

 

Cynthia holds double Honours degrees in Law and Political Science from the National University of Singapore. She is called to the Singapore Bar.

Cynthia is effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin.
